Hundreds of people crowded the intersection of Piedmont Avenue and 10th Streets in Midtown Atlanta on Nov. 15 for a candlelight vigil calling attention to Proposition 8. The measure banned gay marriage in the state. A crowd estimated at 1,500 people rallied at the State Capitol in downtown Atlanta earlier in the day.
