HIV activists, elected officials and LGBT people across metro Atlanta commemorated World AIDS Day on Dec. 1. Events included a press conference by HIV activists at the State Capitol demanding increased funding for the state's AIDS Drug Assistance Program, which provides HIV medications to people without private insurance.
