Wednesday: Nelson Piquet Jr. drives us crazy

When we’re dreaming of how to shape our lives the next time around, we keep coming back to something like this: Being a 25-year-old driver of really fast cars with cover model good looks.

That, in a nutshell, is already the life enjoyed by Brazilian race car driver Nelson Piquet Jr. The hottie with the shaggy hair announced this week that he’s dumping Formula 1 for Nascar, the wildly popular sport that overtakes much of the South when it’s in season. That’s what put him on our radar and we hope his entrance into Nascar means we’ll be seeing more of him soon.

In addition to driving really fast cars and being the son of famed driver Nelson Piquet, Junior also likes to parade around the track shirtless. And outside of Jeff Gordon, Carl Edwards and Joey “Sliced Bread” Logano, there’s not too many Nascar drivers we like to see like that.
